Light as Medium

In my practice, light is not a simple visual effect — it is the principal material, the tool that transforms matter into emotion. Each layer of cellulosic paint captures, reflects and releases light differently. It is not colour that paints — it is light dancing on the surface.

Since my beginnings, I have sought to understand how matter can become luminous. Not only metaphorically, but physically. Cellulosic paint, with its unique transparency, lets me build layers of light that interact with one another unpredictably.

Every work is a negotiation between what I project and what the matter accepts. Light reveals, but it also conceals. It is in this space of uncertainty that emotion is born.
